BBQ Sites

If you fancy cooking in the outdoors when you come to Mugdock then you can hire one of our BBQ sites or our BBQ hut.

The Park has 3 BBQ sites and all can be hired by booking in advance by calling our Visitor Centre on 0141 956 6100 or pop into to see us if you’re at the Park. Weekend dates between May and August are more likely to get booked up very early so please don’t wait too long before you book. Payment must be received before a booking can be confirmed.

Along with your food, you need to bring with you: charcoal, lighter and cooking utensils.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION
*Disposable or portable BBQs are not allowed anywhere within the park and our park wardens will ask you to remove it if you bring one. These can do a huge amount of damage to property, vegetation and wildlife.

  • Gallowhill BBQ

    *PLEASE NOTE THIS BBQ SITE IS CURRENTLY CLOSED FOR REFURBISHMENT* (we aplogise for the inconvenience)   The BBQ is located up at Gallowhill which a short walk from the courtyard and toilets.

    This site backs onto a large area of open land which is ideal for youngsters who want lots of room to run around and play! It is situated close to the children’s playpark and adventure trail.

    Inside you will find two large grills and a covered area over a large table with benches around the perimeter.

    The time slots is: 11am – 4pm. Hire cost is £66.

    Gallowhill BBQ

    *PLEASE NOTE THIS BBQ SITE IS CURRENTLY CLOSED FOR REFURBISHMENT* (we aplogise for the inconvenience)   This BBQ is located down beside Craigend Pond and is a short walk from the Courtyard and toilets.

    The site over is ideal for groups of up to about 40 but does not have extra land immediately adjacent. It is situated just outside the walled garden, next to overlooks Craigend Pond.

    Inside you will find two large grills and a covered area over a large table with benches around the perimeter.

    The time slots is: 11am to 4pm. Hire cost is £66.

  • BBQ Hut

    Situated in a wooded area behind Gallowhill, this BBQ Hut is a great all weather setting for a get together.

    Comprises of an interior bbq in the centre of a wooden hut, with bench seating around the walls for up to 15 people (can accommodate additional people if using outside area as well). There is also 2 benches and a table outside the hut, all within a fenced and gated area.

    This is available between 10am and 4pm each day for a 4 hour hire at a cost of £96. Additional hours between this time are charged at £20 per hour.
